Our engineers go one step beyond.

Effective engineering efforts begin at the earliest stages of program development.  Our engineering input ideally begins with design assistance, long before Trace or its customer is awarded the job.  We firmly believe our up-front input can reduce our customers costs and time to market. Process control
Trace Engineers have access to Unigraphics, Catia, and Pro Engineer in order to ensure solid modeling compatibility with our customers.  Die design capabilities include the use of Magmasoft- a metal fluid flow simulator. This process tests cavity fill via heat transfer to identify potential problem areas before the design is finalized and the tool is built.  Finally, Trace Die Cast engineers continually work on improving and updating their educational background so that they can offer our customers the latest breakthroughs in die casting techniques and engineering technologies.
Trace's engineering advances include the use of a 3D modeling environment which communicates directly with a servo driven coordinate measuring machine (CMM). This technique improves both the speed and accuracy with which we can measure and certify parts.
