INTRODUCTION

The human resources department at Trace Die Cast, Inc. exists to add value by focusing on recruiting qualified employees, enhancing communications and providing continuous employee training / development.

EMPLOYMENT

We have a diverse, non-union workforce that has grown tremendously since 1988.  The Company began with 10 employees in 1988, increased to 170 employees by 1997, and currently employs over 300 individuals.  Our continued success has given us the ability to provide many new job opportunities for those in and around our community.
 

EMPLOYEE TRAINING

Establishing a stable, well-trained, and efficient workforce is a requirement for all companies that desire long-term success.  Employee training is a vital part of maintaining a capable and productive workforce.  We feel that our employees’ ability to perform their job duties is the closest link that we have to our customers.  Therefore, we place an emphasis on training for new and existing employees.  Listed below are some of the training programs underway at Trace.
 
  • Basic Die Cast Training

  • - 16 hour new hire training program covering various die casting issues (e.g., quality defects, machine operation, production reporting, hydraulics, electrical systems, etc.)
  • Pay-For-Knowledge Program

  • - On-going OJT program that directly links pay to skill levels in each department
     
     
  • Buhler Die Cast Training

  • - 16-hour training program for all Buhler operators.  Discusses issues such as machine operation, process maintaining, programming of the injection profile, machine faults, etc.
  • Other courses offered include:

  • - Die Setting
    - Metal Handling
    - Certified Quality Technician Courses
    - Blue Print Reading
    - Computer Basics
    - Management/Supervisory Development Program

EDUCATION

Trace Die Cast, Inc. strongly encourages the continuing education of all employees.  This is evident by our educational policy.  We are pleased to provide the following opportunities for all employees:

  • On-site GED courses
  • 100% reimbursement for tuition and books for vocational training courses
  • 100% reimbursement for tuition and books for the collegiate courses
