Trace Die Cast, Inc. was named as a General Motors Supplier of the Year for its
overall business performance in providing GM with world-class parts and
services. The award was given during ceremonies Saturday, April 29, at
GM's Vehicle Engineering Center at the General Motors Technical Center in
Warren, Michigan.
"We consider Trace Die Cast, Inc. to be a role model for all suppliers. They are
recognized as a GM Supplier of the Year because they exceeded our expectations
in 2005," said Bo Andersson, Vice President of Global Purchasing and Supply
Chain.

Secretary Gene Strong, Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development. "Trace
Die Cast, Inc. has become a major employer in Bowling Green ov er the past 17
years and has been extremely active in supporting community efforts that
enhance the quality of life of everyone in South Central Kentucky. In all
respects, Trace Die Cast, Inc. is among the Best of the Best."
The GM Supplier of the Year award began as a global program in 1992.
Winners are selected by a global team of executives from purchasing,
engineering, manufacturing and logistics who base their decisions on supplier
performance in quality, service, technology and price. This year, General
Motors honored 85 suppliers worldwide for their outstanding performance
throughout 2005.
GM currently has over 6,000 suppliers worldwide and Trace Die Cast, Inc. was one
of the 85 suppliers presented with the prestigious award. In
addition to this award, Trace Die Cast, Inc. received a contract to produce new
transmission components for GM Allison Transmission Division, which will result
in the creation of 70 new jobs in the next nine months.
Trace Die Cast is a Tier-one and Tier-two supplier of high quality aluminum die
casting components for the automotive industry. Trace's operating system
is certified to the global TS-16949 standard and the Ford Q1 system; its
environmental system is certified to the international ISO-14004
standard. Over the past seventeen years, Trace's average sales growth has
exceeded 25% per year. This strong growth and success is projected to
continue as meaningful relationships are developed with more customers that
seek a qualified business partner for their die cast needs.
